ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrive Nairobi - Kenya

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi where you will be met by your tour manager at the arrival area after clearing immigration and customs. Later, visit Giraffe Centre. Afterwards proceed to the hotel for your check-in. (Standard check-in time is 1500 hrs.)

Day 2

Nairobi - Nanyuki - Tour of Ol Pejeta

After breakfast, check out. Later, drive to Nanyuki arriving in time for local lunch at the Hotel Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. Afternoon go for a game drive in Ol' Pejeta Conservancy, resting at the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountain Range, in central Kenya's Laikipia County, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. It is also home to some of the last remaining northern white rhino in the world. Originally a working cattle ranch in colonial Kenya and now a pioneering wildlife conservancy, Ol Pejeta works to protect wildlife and provide a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees. The Conservancy is a popular safari destination and is home to the renowned ‘Big Five’ as well as a wide selection of other African animals including zebra, giraffe, hippo, cheetah, jackal, serval, hyena, vervet monkey, and many more.

Day 3

OlPejeta – Lake Naivasha

After breakfast check out and drive to Lake Naivasha where you will arrive in time for local lunch. Then check-in to the resort. Later in the afternoon enjoy a boat ride at Lake Naivasha in Kenya's Nakuru County, the highest of the Great Rift Valley Lakes and despite having no outlet, it is one of only two Rift Valley freshwater lakes. Fringed by papyrus and acacia trees, the lake serves as the main drinking hole for wildlife in the area.

Day 4

Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara Game Reserve - Game Drive

After breakfast check-out and drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve. Arrive in time for local lunch and check in to the Lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy an enthralling game-viewing drive. Large prides of lions, herds of elephants, as well as giraffes, gazelles and eland can also be spotted in the reserve.

Day 5

Full day of game-viewing at Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast, proceed on a full-day game-viewing drive to search for the myriad species of game that make this reserve their home. If you are lucky, you can witness the kill in action, moment by moment, right in front of your unbelieving eyes! After a local lunch at your lodge, proceed for another exciting game drive, where you can expect to see the famous 'Big 5'.

Day 6

Masai Mara - On to Nairobi.

Day 7

Farewell Kenya! On to picturesque Cape Town – South Africa

After buffet/boxed breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cape Town. (Flight cost not included). Arrive into Cape Town. Later proceed to your hotel and check in.

Day 8

Guided City Tour of Cape Town - Cable car to the top of Table Mountain - Visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

After breakfast, proceed on a guided city tour of this beautiful city with the majestic Table Mountain in the backdrop. Then drive through the historic Malay Quarter, the South African Museum, with its famed Bushmen exhibits, the Castle and other interesting sights. Later, take the cable car to the top of Table Mountain for a panoramic view of the city and coastline. Enjoy local lunch. Then visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Later in the evening enjoy some free-time at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. This is South Africa’s most talked about tourist venue with many shops and restaurants

Day 9

Full-day tour of Cape Peninsula - Visit Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point - See the Penguins at Boulders Beach - Cruise to Seal Island

After breakfast, proceed on a full day tour of Cape Peninsula. We flank the cold Atlantic Ocean en route to Hout Bay. Once a fishing community now one of the most popular residential areas, the harbour still has a charm of days gone by. Enjoy a half-hour cruise to Seal Island. Later continue alongside the Indian Ocean, and stop to see the famous Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach near Simon’s Town. Enjoy local lunch. Then we travel onwards until we reach Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. Said to be the romantic meeting place of the two mighty oceans, the Atlantic and the Indian. Sir Francis Drake the Explorer once called it “the fairest Cape that we saw in the whole circumference of the Globe”.

Day 10

Onto Knysna. Enjoy Lagoon Cruise

After breakfast, check out and proceed to Knysna via Mossel Bay situated exactly half way between Cape Town – the provincial capital of the Western Cape Province – and Port Elizabeth. After local lunch continue your drive to Knysna. On arrival transfer to the hotel & check in. Later in the evening enjoy a beautiful cruise on the Knysna Lagoon.

Day 11

Full Day tour of Oudtshoorn - Visit an Ostrich Farm - Visit Cango Caves and Cango Wildlife Ranch

After breakfast, drive to Oudtshoorn. On arrival into Oudtshoorn. proceed to the Ostrich Farm where you will come face to face with the biggest bird in the world. Enjoy local lunch. After this exciting visit, drive to the Cango Wildlife Ranch, where you can marvel at the grace and beauty of the world’s fastest animal - the Cheetah and also see crocodiles. Visit the famous Cango Caves, where the stalactite and stalagmite formations are an incredible sight. Later drive back to Knysna.

Day 12

Onto Johannesburg.

After buffet/boxed breakfast, checkout & proceed to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg. (Flight cost not included). OVERSEAS TRAVEL INSURANCE:

    It’s very important to find out before you leave whether or not your medical insurance will cover you overseas. Your regular U.S. health insurance may not cover doctors’ and hospital visits in other countries. ALWAYS LOOK INTO THE ASPECTS OF COVERING YOUR TRIP FOR UNFORESEEN EVENTS.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO BE NOTED

  • Only fully vaccinated persons are eligible to travel on this tour over and above the prevailing covid protocols outlined by the respective countries.
  • Passengers taking early morning flights will be provided with boxed breakfast.
  • All tours will be operated subject to a minimum of 25 full paying passengers traveling together. In case there are less than 25 full paying passengers the clients will be given an option of travelling on another departure date.
  • Keeping in view the Luggage compartment of coach & Internal Flight regulations, we strongly recommend you to carry only medium size Bag of 20 kg and 1 carryon bag of 5 kg per person.
  • The dates and granting of Visas is at the sole discretion of the concerned consulate. Air Tours Holidays is not responsible for granting of visas and are only a facilitator in the visa application process and any situation arising out of delay in granting visa by the consulate/embassy.
  • Air Tours shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any delay in flights or change in Schedule by the airline and any situations arising out of the same. Any damages caused to the hotel rooms/coach during your stay, shall be payable by the passengers. Air Tours will not be liable for the same.
  • Air Tours shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any damages, loss, injury, accident, death, delay, breakdown or irregularity which may occur in carrying out of the tour arrangement.
  • Air Tours will not be liable in any loss of baggage by the Airline. However, we will provide assistance in tracing any lost baggage.
  • Air Tours reserves the right to claim any additional expenses due to delay or changes in train, plane, bus, ship or other services, weather conditions, strikes, war, quarantine and any other cause whatsoever and all such losses or expenses must be borne by the passengers.
  • Air Tours reserves the right to amend, alter, vary or withdraw any particular departure, excursion advertised or substitute a hotel of similar class if deemed advisable or necessary.
  • For the convenience of our passengers, Air Tours will sometimes amend the itinerary; however all the other services will remain the same.
  • Single Room Supplement charges will be applicable in case two different people are sharing a room and one of them cancels the tour.
  • The Tour Cost is a combination of all the arrangements and hence cannot be calculated on an individual service basis. Tour cost is one component and not calculated individually.
  • Standard check-in at hotels is 1400-1500 hours and check out is 1100-1200 hours.
  • Updating of mileage is subject to Airlines terms & conditions in group fare.
  • We request the airlines for your preferred seats however this is as per their policy and at their discretion.

BOOKING TERMS AND CANCELLATION POLICY

All services such as Airline seats/Hotels accommodation/ground transportation for group tours are pre-blocked well in advance. We are liable to pay penalties to all our suppliers/vendors if these services are released within the below mentioned time frame. If circumstances make you cancel the tour, the cancellation must be intimated to us in writing. Such cancellations will attract the following cancellation charges:

MANDATORY TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Keeping in view the safety of all travelers and as per the requirement of various countries, only fully vaccinated people who have taken the last shot / jab / dose at least 14 days before the travel date will be allowed on the tour..
CANCELLATION DUE TO BORDER CLOSURES:

In case we are unable to operate a tour due to Border Closure, Air Tours Holidays LLC will refund the deposit amount after deducting the administrative fees of US$ 100 per person. In the event that the entire tour cost has been paid by you and we in turn have paid our overseas tour operators, after which the tour gets cancelled due to Border Closure, then it is possible that we are not able to get the amount back, then we will try and get the refund or a credit note for a later travel date. Any loss due to the exchange rate will affect the refund amount. The company reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to the departure, without assigning any reason. All monies paid by you will be fully refunded in USD only, and no compensation will be payable. In case of cruises, 100% of the cruise cost paid will be forfeited in case of any cancellations irrespective of time of cancellation. The company cannot assume responsibility for any fees relating to the issuance and/or cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not done through the company.
Single Room Supplement Charges will be applicable in case any of the client cancels the booking of sharing the room together.

CHILD POLICY

  • New regulations for families travelling with children to and from South Africa. 
  • The South African immigration department has expressed concern about the growing issue of global child trafficking and has announced new requirements for adults travelling with children under the age of 18, which will take effect from 1 June 2015. Parents travelling with children would now be requested to provide an unabridged birth certificate (including the details of the child's father as well as the mother) of all travelling children. This applies even when both parents are travelling with their children. When children are travelling with guardians, these adults are required to produce affidavits from parents proving permission for the children to travel. The above appliesto foreigners and South Africans travelling to or from South Africa as well as travellers in transit.
  • South Africa does not have a "no bed" policy for children. Children will be accommodated on a standard bed, a roll away bed or a sleeper couch.
